Bitcoin 1.01
A currency that keeps Bitcoin's idea, renews its signatures against quantum computers, and runs peer to peer without leaning on any server.

§ 01
Technical summary
- 01Signatures
Every transaction is signed with SLH-DSA-SHAKE-256s. Its security rests only on a hash function; Shor's algorithm, the method a quantum computer would use to break today's signatures, does not apply.
- NIST FIPS 205 · 29,792-byte signature · passes every official test vector
- 02Hash
ORION: Keccak-f[1600], the core of SHA-3, with a 1024-bit capacity. ORION-512 output is identical to standard SHA3-512, so it can be checked with any SHA-3 tool.
- block ID 1024 bits · transaction ID 512 bits
- 03Network
Nodes find each other on the local network, through seed computers, and from addresses they learn from one another. No domain, hosting or central server is needed.
- TCP 10102 · UDP 10101 discovery · IPv4 + IPv6
- 04Money
120-second blocks, a 10-coin block reward, halving every 1,050,000 blocks (about four years). Difficulty is adjusted every block with the ASERT rule.
- total supply 20,999,989.8635 coins
- 05Swaps
Atomic swaps with Bitcoin over HTLCs: either both sides get paid, or both get their own money back. There is no exchange or custodian in between.
- Bitcoin bridge · no intermediary
- 06Wallet
The wallet stays only on your own computer, encrypted with your password. A single backup restores every address.
- Argon2id · ChaCha20-Poly1305
- 07Science layer
A design that directs half of the mining reward to scientific computation whose results can be verified: drug-candidate screening, materials discovery.

§ 02
A heartbeat in every block
Every block header records how many steps the number (height + 27) takes to reach 1 under the 3x+1 rule. It plays no part in security; it is the chain's signature. At genesis the number is 27: it reaches 1 in 111 steps, climbing as high as 9,232 on the way.
§ 03
This site is not part of the network
Bitcoin 1.01 does not need this site. The network is made of programs running on participants' own computers, and it keeps running even if bit101.org goes offline. This site only publishes documents, the labs and, after launch, the program's verification hashes.
- bit101.org will never ask for your private key, wallet backup or password. Any page or message that does is fake.
- It holds no funds, makes no transactions on your behalf, and asks for no account or identity.

Labs
Interactive pages built for the science layer's first campaigns. Every calculation runs in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere. The labs are currently available in Turkish only.
Compound Lab
Pick elements from the periodic table and see in which ratios they can combine, which thresholds each ratio passes, and the estimated properties of the compound.
Open L2Nuclear Forces Lab
Change the strong force, the electromagnetic repulsion and the neutron–proton mass difference, and see where nuclei fall apart.
